TESOL Scholarships & Grants Available
TESOL.org is an international association for teachers working in ESL. It’s a non-profit organization and is an important source of TESOL scholarships and grants. If you join the organization you may be eligible for financial aid to help with your graduate TESOL education.If you are working in the TESOL or ESL/EFL field already, and based in a developing country, you will be eligible for the Professional Development Scholarship. This scholarship is for those who want to pursue a Master’s Degree in TESOL.
ETS also provide TESOL scholarships for TESOL students. ETS are famous for the TOEFL test and other educational research and testing tools. If you are involved in graduate research with a TESOL related dissertation, and plan to be in the TESOL field for a long time, you have the opportunity to receive $2,500 plus costs associated with travel accommodation for the TESOL conference through the Jacqueline Ross TOEFL Dissertation Award.
If you are pursuing a TESOL Master’s Degree or Doctoral Degree you also have the opportunity to receive a grant of $2,500 through the TOEFL Outstanding Young Scholar program. It is available for students and members of faculty under the age of 40 at the time of application.
ETS also provide a range of other scholarships, institutional and state based, which require students to study at certain colleges or make a commitment to teaching in certain areas. Many of these scholarships cover full tuition costs.
If you are a graduate TESOL student and want to teach TESOL at K-12 level in New York state, the University of Albany has a full scholarship program which covers all tuition costs.
The Monterrey Institute of International Studies, in Monterrey, Canada, has a range of scholarships, partial and full, for TESOL students.

I love this idea to reinforce and practise using English. I am considering doing volunteer work in my community by teaching ESL and hadn't even slightly thought of using games.
